What is Velpanat Tablet?
Velpanat Tablet is used in combination with other medications such as ribavirin, daclatasvir and peginterferon to treat chronic hepatitis C. It functions by reducing the hepatitis C virus in the body. This helps to keep liver disorders such as cirrhosis and liver cancer at bay.On using this medication you may experience side effects such as diarrhoea, itchiness, headache, nausea, drowsiness, rapid breathing, rapid heartbeat and skin paleness. Velpanat Tab is a combination of two antiviral medicines: Sofosbuvir and Velpatasvir. They work by lowering the amount of hepatitis C virus in the body and removing the virus from the blood over a period of time.Uses of Velpanat
- Velpanat Tablet Use in the treatment of chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection.
- Velpanat contains active substances and velpatasvir sofosbuvir. It should be supervised by a physician experienced in the management of patients with chronic hepatitis C.
- Velpanat is a generic antiviral drug produced by Natco that is used to treat chronic hepatitis C in adults.
- Hepatitis C virus exists in several varieties (genotypes).
- Velpanat can be used to treat hepatitis C caused by all genotypes of the virus.

- Velpanat Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
- Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
- Velpanat Tablet, when taken together with other medicines for the treatment of hepatitis c infection, may produce dizziness, blurred vision and this may affect your ability to drive.
