Danogen 100 mg Capsule is a synthetic steroid. It is used to treat fibrocystic breast disease. It also prevents hereditary angioedema in both men and women. This medication functions by decreasing the hormone levels which in turn decreases the severity of the disease.
On using Danogen 100Mg Tablet you may experience side effects such as change in menstrual flow, vaginal dryness or itchiness, flushes, hair fall, weight gain. Certain adverse allergic reactions may occur such as hives, swelling of facial features and body parts, chest pain, mental/mood disorders, seizures, abnormal bleeding or bruising, unusual hair growth and reduced appetite. Contact your doctor promptly should you experience any severe reaction.

Dosage

Missed Dose
The missed dose should be taken as soon as possible. It is advisable to skip the missed dose if it is already time for your next scheduled dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed one.
Overdose
Seek emergency medical treatment or contact the doctor in case of an overdose.

Uses of Danogen 100 mg Capsule

Danogen Capsule is used to treat endometriosis (development of uterine-lining tissue outside the uterus, symptoms of which include abdominal pain, heavy periods, and infertility) and non-cancerous (benign) fibrocystic breast disease in adult patients not responding to other treatments. It is also used to prevent attacks of angioedema (swelling of eyes and lips) in patients with hereditary angioedema disorder.

Warnings

Pregnancy - Danogen 100 mg is not recommended for use in pregnant women.
Breast-feeding - This medicine is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women.
General warnings

Geriatric use - This medicine is not recommended for use in elderly patients.
Liver function - Danogen 100 mg Capsule may cause elevations in the levels of liver enzymes. It is not recommended for use in patients with severe liver dysfunction. Caution is advised while using this medicine in patients with mild to moderate liver impairment. Appropriate dose adjustments may be required based on the clinical condition.
